GORDO IN THE 1970s: June 1974

Once motivated by a nearly-chaste sense of comic bonhomie, Gordo's later-in-life romantic entanglements have more of a hands-on approach. Much like the depictions of Mexican peasantry earlier in the strip, Gordo's take on the Sexual Revolution of the 1970s also doesn't age particulaly well. 

Luckily, there's still a great deal to take away in Arriola's superb work with line, form, language, type and humor. Dog gives Poosy Gato some tips on surviving ardent toddlers, and Bug Rogers weaves some web-based word art.
