GORDO IN THE 1970s: January 1975

Tehuana Mama's daughter Inocencia does more than provide Mary Frances with a rival for Pepito's affections, she also catches up the readership on some of Del Monte's long-absent juvenile population. Carlitos, whose first appearance dates back to the strip's first week of publication in 1942, is revealed to be studying computers in el Distrito Federal (effectively Mexico City), while Del Monte's resident punk, Shocking Pedro, makes a name for himself in Puerto Vallarta.
