GORDO IN THE 1970s: March-April 1974

In these strips from early 1974: An aging Gordo discovers that even girl-watching comes with a price, now that he's getting up there in years, while Poosy Gato participates in one of his recurring sparring matches with Tehuana Mama's grandson, Trailing Arbutus. 

Ever the romantic, Gordo engages in a one-sided love affair -- with a houseplant --- and Canary, forever stuck in his cage with only yesterday's newspaper to read, at least has comedy to fall back on...
