GORDO IN THE 1970s: May - June 1974

In these daily strips from mid-1974, Gordo trades barbs with his temporary housekeeper Inocencia, the liberated and independent daughter of Tehuana Mama - a reminder that Gordo, like many aging lotharios, sees his youthful charm fade into chauvinist bluster by middle age. Not that it slows down his romantic pursuits, while the pets are left to provide their own banter...
